Good morning, still night for me. Interesting that this prompt showed up right before I head to bed.
For awhile, spirituality was nothing but an enigma to me. There was only science. I was jaded to the darkness of the world.
But what world would we live in without darkness? Could that even be called a world to begin with?
No. Well, maybe. But no. We can take the soma drug all we want and vegetate in superficial bliss to ignore the blaring despair of existence.
Spirituality is something bigger. For me it only came in times of great struggle, the most difficult times in which I turned toward something greater than life.
To live is to die. One cannot exist without the other. I find that my communication with my higher power is all I need if I were to strip everything down. I pray through creation. Words, shapes, shading, paint strokes. Smiles. Love.
